The built environment has the power to transform lives. My work is focused at the intersection of people and places, leveraging real estate development for good. I work with real estate developers to maximize their social impact by creating healthy, inclusive places where people can thrive and children can meet their full potential.

Emily is a leader in housing, community development, and public engagement. For the past 20 years, she has worked on large scale real estate development initiatives to transform some of the most economically challenging and underserved neighborhoods in California. With a dual degree in City Planning and Real Estate Development from MIT, Emily served as the Director of Community Development for BRIDGE Housing, where she pioneered the Trauma-Informed Community Building model, and also served two full terms as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Oakland. Now as a strategic consultant, Emily works with real estate developers to achieve greater economic, social, and health impacts by applying a wider set of strategies throughout the development process that result in a greater focus on community needs.
