REDEFINING JUSTICE THROUGH RESTORATIVE APPROACHES
FOCUS
The likelihood of suspended students dropping out of school and one-day facing incarceration is so strong that many refer to this trajectory as the school-to-prison pipeline. Owing in part to that trajectory, Louisiana has the highest per-capita incarceration rate in the world. Restorative Approaches will provide asset-based, participatory methods for changing this reality and strengthen community members’ capacity to develop their own solutions for justice and well-being.
